A book review
Last week I got my hands on a new book, Balance Your Life, Balance the Scale by Jennifer Tuma-Young. Normally I don’t spend a lot of space at this blog talking about weight loss. In my experience weight is a symptom of bigger problems and focusing on weight loss doesn’t address the real issue.
I was so relieved when I read Tuma-Young’s new book and found that she felt the same way. Through the course of the book she walks readers through her signature system (B.A.L.A.N.C.E.) that teaches anyone how to reconnect to her true needs and desires so that she no longer feels the need to fill them with food.
Here is how Tuma-Young states it:
Most of the women I meet say they want to lose weight. But once we start talking, we find balance issues or sturdy roadblocks that prevent them from being the magnificent women they were born to be… Once they start utilizing the balance techniques to find balance in the other parts of their lives, weight loss happens organically.
This is a great book. If you are struggling with weight and are ready to accept that the number on a scale is not what matters grab a copy of this book!
Let Go and Laugh– That is the title of Chapter 4 and also really sums up the path of true weight release. Love the message your spreading Ms. Tuma-Young!
