Last year, I launched the Mom Grows A Business Conference in NYC. As a first year event, it achieved what many first year events don’t – we had a full house and people were raving about the conference months later to friends and family.
As word spread about the conference’s success, I started receiving requests to share what I did to create this level of success. There are a number of strategies I could share that created this success, but as I look back through all my achievements, I can see that it all comes down to one answer – I kept going even when I was scared.
The truth is, that up until the day of the conference, I had no idea whether it was going to be a success or not. There are no guarantees on the path to success – and often times the creation of success looks like anything but success. Creating success takes risks. And risks can be messy – at least for a while.
If you are walking your path right now and wondering if all the big fat mistakes and challenges that have arisen are proof that you are going to fail, I come bearing great news: you are not failing. In fact, you are almost there! If you want success, here is what you need to do right now – JUST KEEP GOING!
If fear is starting to chip away at your resolve, you are at the point where most people give up. The ones that succeed are the ones that keep going.
This isn’t just my opinion. I am featuring a number of highly successful women as the speakers at this year’s Mom Grows A Business conference. I have spoken in depth to each of them. Although they created success in many different ways, each story contained this message: they succeeded because they never gave up.
I’ll be featuring their stories in depth in the coming weeks (like how one woman escaped bankruptcy and now runs a multi-million dollar company based on her passion), so stay tuned! In the meantime, I’d love to hear your thoughts or questions on success. Share them in the comments below!
