This morning I watched the sun rise.
I’ve seen more sun rises this year than I have in all previous 45 years put together.
It was one of the gifts that came with being diagnosed with adrenal fatigue in January. In order to recover, everything must slow down. Self care is no longer an indulgence, but a requirement. In that space of slow, self-focus you discover what truly fills you up. You also get to be real honest about what is draining you.
Sunrise fills me up. I love the silence, the beauty, the pure majesty of the sky.
At sunrise you feel the potential of a new day, the freshness of a clean slate.
I’m pretty sure the Divine engineered sunrises to look and feel like they do so that we’d have a human experience that reminded us what She wants for us. She wants us to live in a spirit of fresh possibility.
Sunrise says “Your past does not define this day. Guilt has no place here. I erase regret.” Sunrise gently, yet boldly squeezes out the darkness, while still honoring its existence. She knows that the beauty of possibility is created precisely because of the darkness.
As the sun starts to ascend I can hear the Divine speak.
Let down your burdens and start anew!
