Have you started discussing what will be different for you in 2012? It seems I can’t open an email this week without some headline discussing the “New You” or someone mentioning New Years Resolutions.
And you know what I have to say to that?
BAH HUMBUG!
The world does not need a New YOU!
YOU do not need a NEW YOU!
The greatest gift you can give yourself and the world is MORE YOU!
MORE doing what you love.
MORE being who you are – honestly with an authenticity that inspires those around you.
MORE receiving.
MORE giving.
MORE being.
We all need your talents, gifts, charms and the unique flavor you bring to every conversation. There is exactly one YOU in this world and it is time to…
Love all over that!
So before this year comes to a close, AS it is coming to a close, CELEBRATE YOU!
Make a list of all the wonderful, fabulous, amazing contributions you made to your own life and the life of others this year. Write down every little thing you are proud of, inspired by, or secretly treasure that you have accomplished this year.
(Kicking off the New Year with resolutions is an insidious little way we punish ourselves. It is a way of reminding ourselves we didn’t quite measure up. GAH! Who wants that?)
End THIS year fully grounded in all that is wonderful about you and on NEW YEAR’S DAY you can scream at the top of your lungs I want this and MORE!!!!!
