There is an addiction among us purpose-driven entrepreneurs that is more prevalent than addiction to alcohol, gambling or even eating. (Say, what?!)
It’s an addiction to over-working.
If you suspect you may be an “over-worker” you are really going to like what I have to share. If you are not an “over-worker” well then, you can just ignore this and go back to living your rainbow and Unicorn filled life.
And I’ve done ALOT of work to free myself from the patterns of over-working and I want to help you do the same!
Over-working is a way to avoid feeling not good enough. And the freedom from over-working comes from self-forgiveness.
Forgiveness may be hard for you (like it was for me) because no matter how much you do, you can only focus on what you do that doesn’t work.
Each little “failure” sits inside you like poison. Well actually its your BELIEF about that failure that is the poison.
Each email you send out that doesn’t get enough opens means no one wants to hear what you say.
Each webinar that doesn’t get the registrations you expect means you suck.
Each month that passes where you don’t make the amount of money you believe you “should” make is further proof of your suckiness.
And that lovely little song of “I should be further along than I am” plays over and over again in your mind.
I am here to tell you that to start getting all those results you want you need to forgive yourself.
Forgive yourself for each event you didn’t “fill”.
Forgive yourself for every program you purchased that you didn’t use.
Forgive yourself for the money you didn’t make (yet.)
Because until you do, you are going to keep over-working to try to make up for all the stuff you think you did wrong.
Forgive yourself for all of it because, girl, it’s total and complete bullsh*t.
No one gets it right the first time. We all make a sh*t ton of mistakes. And none of that has anything to do with being successful.
If you can forgive yourself for all of your perceived failings you will naturally stop working so hard.
And in that time that you are not working so hard:
- your brain will have time to rest!
- you will start to create the ideas that serve your clients in bigger ways, ways that they are really really happy to pay you for!
- you will become happier and nicer to be around!
- you will start to relax and enjoy your life!
(FYI – people like to come to webinars and buy from people who are balanced and happy and relaxed.)
And because you actually give yourself some breathing room (and a chance for the Universe to help you out) all that working time will start to reap the rewards you kept criticizing yourself for not creating.
But in order to get there you’ve got to lay off yourself.
I love you. I want you to stop over-working. Forgive yourself and go rest.
In love and light,
Patty
P.S. And in case you are thinking “working less sounds nice but how is all my work going to get done when I’m not working?” I’ve got you covered! I cooked up a new training all about this, you can check it out by clicking here.
