What is a life coach?
A life coach is a person who partners with her client to dissolve limiting beliefs in order to open up a life of possibility, develop authentic goals and build the steps necessary to achieve those goals.
How is life coaching different from therapy?
While coaching can certainly work in conjunction with therapy the two are quite different. Essentially therapy focuses on healing psychological pain by looking to the past. Life coaching uses the present as its starting point. Through coaching a person breaks down their own limiting beliefs. Coaching is always a partnership and the goal is not to reduce pain but to increase joy. A coach helps her client create a plan that will bring the client the life of her dreams.
What can I expect from a life coaching session?
Coaching sessions are done by phone and run approximately 60 minutes. During that time the client is asked questions and given assignments that help the client unlock the truth of their essential self. Our essential self will always guide us to our greatest life.
