Last week I shared a story of a client whose business has taken flight suddenly and “unexpectedly.” (I knew it was coming but my client didn’t:)
She’s been showing up for her business, doing the courageous stuff and here is the key.. doing her 100%.
When we do our 100% (no matter how big or small) that is the moment when the Universe steps in and does the heavy lifting on our dreams.
The Universe does not judge the size of your 100% – simply that you show up fully in faith once you do what you can do. Because any really good dream is going to be bigger than what your human self is capable of. That BIG dream is what makes your soul expand in this human form.
Another client messaged me and told me that story inspired her and that she’d be doing even more WORK so that she could nail her 100% and get the Universe’ support.
UH OH
I know this client. She is doing her 100%. She reminded me I need to share more to the story of this 100% “theory.”
The key, once we do our 100%, is to surrender to the Universe (aka Divine, God etc). OVERworking isn’t the key to doing your 100%. When you do you send the message that you believe its all UP TO YOU (and its not).
The Universe wants to help you.
Most of time time our 100% isn’t a big chunk of work we aren’t doing. Its one or two simple things that scare the crap out of us. The ones that push us to the edge of our own vulnerability.
A perfect example of this is when someone tells me they want a six figure business. For most coaches and consultants this generally means raising their prices a bit and making a few sales calls. But instead of doing that they do 17 other things in the hopes of avoiding sales calls.
That coach or consultant can add another 20, even 40 tasks to the list and work their butt off but if all of it is designed to avoid having sales conversations the Universe won’t step in.
Yet if that same person puts down that heavy load of tasks and makes 2-3 calls a week to people that expressed interest within a few weeks magic starts to happen.
Its not because the person makes the calls specifically. Its because they face their fear of rejection that the Universe can now step in. The Universe loves you too much to keep you from conquering your fears. So if you are that coach who is avoiding sales conversation, the Universe is not going to help you grow your business until you get over that fear.
The funny thing is, once that same coach starts doing those calls they find business flowing in from all different angles (without those sales calls.)
This applies to you whether you have a business or not. If lets say you want some time to yourself each week but you never say “no” to people’s requests for your time the Universe can’t help you.
However, if you summon the courage to say that first “no” all of the sudden your husband or child spontaneously takes something off your task list. The two events aren’t technically related BUT the courage is. Show the Universe how you want to be treated (even if it feels selfish) and it will respond with that 10x over.
100% = the thing that scares you + surrender + faith (anyone can work this equation but only the truly courageous will).
