The other day I was about to make a left into an office parking lot, where I had an appointment, when I saw a school bus approaching with flashing lights. I stopped (because I am a good rule follower) and waited for the kids standing on the corner to get on the bus.
Once they were loaded, the bus didn’t go anywhere.
We were on a busy street and as cars backed up in both directions I tried to figure out what was going on.
Eventually, it became clear.
What I saw first made me laugh and eventually made me cry. You can hear the full story on this week’s podcast. You can listen here or on any podcast app.
As I sat in the parking lot, having received a powerful message first through laughter and then tears, what I was reminded of was that this life is a journey.
There are no final destinations.
The minute we think we’ve learned a lesson the Universe shows us there is always room to take it deeper.
Life is a spiral not a straight line. As we walk the journey of life we will find ourselves back at what feels like the same point. But if we look closely what we find is that the lesson looks the same but the understanding is more complex. Our wisdom, richer. And if we have patience with ourselves the magic of life becomes infinitely more beautiful.
What about you? How are you feeling just a few days out from this first powerful new moon of the year? Tell me what’s going on!
