2016 is in its final hours. In less than 48 hours we will welcome in a new year.
Right around this time I see plenty of posts and articles about complicated rituals to bid the old year good bye and welcome in its bright shining sibling.
I decided long ago I didn’t have the time or patience for all of that. Ending the passing year (or starting the new one) with a process that irritates more than uplifts seemed to defeat the purpose.
If you’d like to learn my simple new year’s ritual, you can find it here:
What I wish most for you as this passing year bids us farewell is that you are filled with a deep appreciation for all it held, no matter what that looked like. I know 2016 was a challenging year for many and you may be feeling like you are ready for it to JUST.BE.OVER! But before you jump into the New Year please look in the mirror and thank 2016 for who you are, right now, in this minute.
You are beautiful and you are strong. You are more prepared to offer your gifts to the world than you have ever been. 2016 made you this way and I, for one, am grateful for what you are about to accomplish because of it.
In love and light, with wishes for an amazing New Year!
